I finally made the trip home for the holidays, by way of New York. I know that my days of runnable weather are becoming limited, so I’m trying to get more disciplined with my training, even if it means running on vacation and in between periods of jet lag. Skipping a run one day could mean not getting another chance till the next few days because of the rain–and I’m so surprised (and glad) that it’s finally raining in California. And although I got my hopes up for snow for my first time in NYC, I guess I should be thankful that the unusual warmth during my stay allowed me to explore a new park near our AirBnB.
Winter training is tough. I’ve definitely slowed down, and feel a lot weaker as a result of inconsistent training and poor eating habits (allllll the holiday treats). But I’ll get there!
Now, being the data nerd that I am, I’ll leave you with this overload of stats from my last runs in some of my favorite parks in London, New York, and San Francisco. Last one is a bonus run on the beach 😎
Finsbury Park, London
